Founded in 1983 by Paul Thonon, Maison du Frein is a family company with 35 years’ experience.

Specialising in the sale of brake parts, the company is growing and quickly becoming an essential player on the national and international scene.

The friction workshop was established a few years later: repair, lining and re-lining by bonding and riveting.

In 1994, the company opened a second shop and installed a new workshop dedicated to repairing hydraulic parts.

In 2009, Maison du Frein entered a new phase by purchasing the Brussels-based FERODO friction workshop and by bringing together its activities at Boulevard de Froidmont in Liège, which is also known as ‘Automotive Boulevard’.

Today, Maison du Frein has more than 1,200 customers worldwide and supplies all the following sectors: automotive, industry, agriculture, wind power and airports.
